Hoy No Circula for Vive Latino 25th Anniversary

The Vive Latino festival celebrates its 25th anniversary and if you plan to attend by car, it is important to remember the rules of the Saturday Hoy No Circula to avoid fines and contribute to reducing pollution in Mexico City. This program affects 16 municipalities of Mexico City and 18 municipalities in the State of Mexico within the Mexico Valley Metropolitan Area.

This Saturday, March 15, the Hoy No Circula will apply to vehicles with plates ending in odd numbers, specifically 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9, with hologram 1. Also included in this measure are cars with hologram two and foreign vehicles. In contrast, cars with holograms 0 and 00 are allowed to circulate without restrictions in Mexico City and the State of Mexico.

Additionally, the Hoy No Circula does not apply to health sector workers in all categories, ambulances, cars of people with disabilities with permission to exempt the program, and electric vehicles. It is important to remember that for this Saturday, March 15, there was no double Hoy No Circula declared, as air quality remained acceptable on Friday, March 14, and there was no environmental contingency in the Mexico Valley Metropolitan Area.

It is necessary to keep in mind that the program is activated only in case of environmental contingencies, aiming to reduce ozone particles in the atmosphere.
